A 47-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court in connection with the discovery of almost £1 million worth of cannabis in the Borders.
Police officers searched premises in an industrial estate on Coldingham Road, Eyemouth, last Thursday and found a large cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £900,000.
Adriatik Abazi, of no fixed abode, appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Friday charged with being in connection with the supply of a controlled drug and producing a controlled drug as well as a breach of the Electricity Act.
He made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again this week.
